Wooot! FABULOUS review from Romantic Times!!

So how happy do you think this review of Behind Blue Eyes made me?  Super happy with a huge dollop of awesome sauce!!

Read and revel with me!

4 1/2 Stars!

This paranormal suspense brims with intrigue and immediately hooks readers with its complex mystery. T.L Schaefer combines a racing plot with a clever writing style for a killer story. The revelations in Behind Blue Eyes are perfectly paced, with just enough teasing flashbacks about heroine Sara Covington’s past to make the present-day discoveries more explosive. The build up between Sara and Detective Brian Roney also packs a punch. Even better, the first person narrative gives great insight into Sara, but wisely leaves Brian’s mind untapped— the combination makes for a suspenseful and rewarding romance.

TABT, Eternal Kiss of Darkness, Jeaniene Frost

Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2)Eternal Kiss of Darkness by Jeaniene Frost
I’m a huge fan of Frost’s, but I have to admit I let this one sit on my self for awhile because I just couldn’t picture Mencheres as a hero I’d root for. Not really sure why, I just never really connected with him in a way that made me want to read any more about him.

I was hugely glad to be proven wrong! As usual, Frost created a vibrant, sexy world where I was totally immersed in the action as well as the romance. Kira was a perfect foil to Mencheres, and I hope to see more of her in future Frost books. Mencheres showed himself to be the leader all of his “family” were so loyal to (which we’d never really seen in the past), and appearances by Bones, Cat and Vlad were both necessary to the plot and welcome.

Can’t wait for the next one!

Romancing the New Year Blog Hop!

Welcome! If you’re just happening across this post, you can begin the official 2011 New Year’s Blog Hop by clicking HERE. Tons of prizes, tons of eye candy. What more could you ask for to start a new year?

A bunch of us authors decided (okay, Alanna told us to, and we’re all scared of her) to write a quick short to go along with the fabulous picture below (artist Aaron Rohde), so hope you enjoy!

I barely held back a laugh as Cameron and Jennifer almost devoured each other, then tipped my glass to Lucas-the-hottie.  The plan to hook up our best friends had worked better than we could have hoped.  The crowd had chanted down to “one” over a minute ago and the childhood friends were still lost in one another.  Everything was as it should be—including the fact Lucas and I were now unattached wingmen.  The New Year was looking very bright indeed.

And now, just because I can’t STAND not to give y’all some lovin’ *G*, here’s your eye candy!

Have a FABULOUS  and  safe New Year!
